The 3 Game-Changing Levers to Accelerate Your Success & Business Growth

In just a few moments, I’ll be stepping into a virtual room with brilliant Hispanic/Latino executives as I co-lead a leadership cohort at McKinsey & Company as an external leadership coach. Before I do, I want to share three game-changing levers that can accelerate your professional success and business growth. Consider this a sneak peek into my upcoming TEDx talk—I can’t wait to share more!

As we wrap up the first quarter of the year, it’s the perfect time to check in. Are you making meaningful progress toward the goals you set? I’ve been working closely with members of our Visionary Leaders Circle, ElevateHer, and private coaching clients to help them move strategically toward their goals—because success isn’t about waiting; it’s about intentional action.

We’ve all had that moment at the end of the year where we wonder: Where did the time go? The key to avoiding that? Consistency and a clear roadmap. My mentor Tony Robbins says:

“We overestimate what we can do in one year and underestimate what we can do in five.”

These three levers are always within reach. When applied consistently, they create real momentum—not just in your career, but in your confidence, impact, and fulfillment.

Lever 1: Set Clear, Measurable Targets

Success isn’t just about working hard—it’s about working toward the right things. Without clear goals, it’s easy to stay busy without making meaningful progress. Ask yourself:

What specific results do I want to achieve in the next 12 months?
Why are these goals important to me?

At the start of the year, I set a bold goal: transitioning our ElevateHer program to open enrollment. Why? Because I wanted to create an opportunity for women to join when they’re ready instead of waiting for the next cohort. By prioritizing this goal, we made it happen in the first quarter. Now, ElevateHer and our four-week leadership accelerator, Bridge to Claim Your Seat Sprint, are open year-round.

When goals aren’t clearly defined, focus scatters, and progress stalls. A well-defined target gives you direction, helps allocate time and resources effectively, and builds momentum toward meaningful transformation.

Lever 2: Identify the Skills and Resources Needed for Growth

A goal without the right tools is like a road trip without a GPS. Once you define your targets, ask:

What skills do I or my team need to achieve these goals?
What resources will help us move forward?

For example, one of my personal goals is to continue learning French. To stay on track, I use Duolingo daily. Similarly, in business, organizations must identify gaps and invest in leadership development, training, and technology to remain competitive.

Take AI as an example. Many leaders resist AI-driven transformation, while forward-thinking organizations ask: How can we leverage AI to enhance productivity and innovation? Those who embrace change and upskill will have a distinct competitive edge.

The same applies to leadership. If your team struggles with executive presence, decision-making, or communication, it’s up to senior leaders to invest in the right development programs—whether internally or with external consultants like ExecutiveBound.

Lever 3: Get Unstuck and Take Action

The biggest roadblock isn’t a lack of ambition—it’s inaction. Even with clear goals and the right resources, hesitation keeps us stuck. Ask yourself:

What patterns have been holding me back?
What’s one small step I can take today to build momentum?

One of my priorities this year is scaling our B2B business. But I’ll admit, reaching out to my network consistently isn’t always comfortable. So, I turned to my coaches to uncover the subconscious beliefs holding me back. Through this work, I reconnected with my deeper mission—to help over one million women and leaders claim their next seat at the table.

This is why coaching and mentorship matter. We often don’t see our own blind spots. The leaders I work with who experience the biggest breakthroughs are the ones willing to get support and take bold action—even in uncertainty.

Remember: Confidence doesn’t come first—action does. The more you move, the more confident you become.

Your Next Step: Put These Levers into Action

Unlike external factors beyond your control, these three levers are within your power. The professionals and organizations that prioritize them see exponential growth, stronger leadership pipelines, and lasting success.

So, today, I challenge you to take action:

  • What tangible results do I want in the next 12 months, and why do they matter?
  • What skills and resources do I or my team need to reach these goals?
  • What patterns have been holding me back?
